Delete your Cleo account
This page is for Cleo Track - Baby Tracking by Umbrella Town (on Google Play and the App Store) and every other Cleo app. You can ask me to delete your account and its data at any time, with or without the app installed.
In the app
- Open Cleo Track on Android, iPhone, or the web.
- Go to Settings, then Account.
- Under Danger zone, tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
You're signed out right away, and the account can't be signed in to again.
Without the app
- Email support@cleofamily.app from the address you use to sign in.
- Say you'd like your Cleo account deleted.
- If you write from a different address, I'll check it's really you before deleting anything.
I'll reply to let you know it's been received.
What happens next
Once you ask, the account is locked: you're signed out on every device and it can't be signed in to again. I then permanently delete your data within 30 days and email you when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your Cleo account and profile: your name, email address, and timezone.
- Your phone number, if you linked one for Text Cleo.
- Your children's profiles and every tracking entry logged for them (feedings, diapers, sleep, medicine, growth, and the rest).
- Messages you sent in family chat.
- Profile photos for you and your children.
- Your notification history and settings.
- Your Cleo Plan meal plans, tasks, nutrition log, and notes, if you used Cleo Plan.
- Your contact record in my email tool (Customer.io) and your profile in my analytics tool (Mixpanel).
If you share a family with someone
In Cleo, children and their logs belong to the family, not to one person, so a partner or caregiver can keep tracking after you leave.
- If you're the only adult in your family, the family, its children, and all of their entries are deleted along with your account.
- If other adults are in your family, your own account, details, and chat messages are deleted, but the children and their history stay for the people still using them. Entries you logged stay in that history without your name on them.
- If you own the family and others are still in it, I'll pass ownership to another adult in the family so they can keep managing it.
If you want a shared child's history removed too, say so in your email and I'll sort it out with you and the rest of your family.
What may be kept
- Purchase records. If you paid for cleo+, a record of the purchase (date, amount, and plan) may be kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Stripe, Apple, and Google keep their own payment records under their own policies.
- Backups. My database host (Supabase) keeps short-lived backups. Your data drops out of them as they expire on their normal schedule, and they're never used to restore a deleted account.
Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription by itself. If you subscribe through Google Play or the App Store, cancel there first so you aren't billed again.
One account for every Cleo app
Cleo Track, Cleo Plan, and Cleo Assistant share one sign-in. Deleting your account removes it from all of them. Cleo Routine doesn't use an account and keeps everything on your device, so deleting that app removes its data.
